End the session and save the board

End the period on Circin Canvas. It saves any running recording, uploads a picture of the board for your students, and releases the study-materials button.

Teacher

Ending the session closes the period's record: any running recording is stopped and saved, and the board takes a picture of itself and uploads it, so your students can see what was on the board when they open Circin later.

How do I end the session?

  1. Tap Session on the left rail while the ● LIVE card is showing.
  2. Tap ■ End session.
  3. If a recording is still running, the board stops it, finishes decoding, and writes the transcript onto the session.
  4. The board takes a picture of itself and uploads it to the session.
  5. It confirms Session ended ✓. The LIVE card is replaced by the pre-session view and ✨ Generate study materials becomes available.

Rules and gotchas

  • The board picture is stored privately and made readable to the students of that section through the session record. They see it in Circin over a short-lived link.
  • The picture is the page you are on, and it includes the floating bars and panels. Writing on your other pages is still read by the text recognition used for study materials, but it is not in the picture.
  • The upload is best-effort: a failure never stops the session ending. If the session itself cannot be saved you see Could not save the session.
  • Ending the session does not clear the board. Your writing stays up for the next few minutes. Only signing out wipes it.
  • On an Android panel with a web or PDF card open, the picture is taken through the system screen-capture path, so Android may briefly show a screen-recording indicator. Only one frame is taken. An ink-only board never triggers it.
