Read your notifications in Circin Maestro

Open the notification list behind the bell in Circin Maestro, and understand why it only holds what this phone received.

Teacher Class Teacher Staff

Every push Circin Maestro has received on this phone is kept behind the bell on the Home tab, together with reminders about teaching sessions you drafted but never sent.

How do I open my notifications?

  1. On the Home tab, tap the bell in the top-right circle button. Teachers have two more circle buttons to its left — cast-to-board and timetable; the bell is always the last one.
  2. The Notifications screen opens. Expect about three seconds of spinner before anything appears; the list is loaded on a deliberate delay.
  3. Each notification is a card: a blue bell chip, the title, the message trimmed to two lines with a read-more affordance, and the date it arrived along the bottom.
  4. Tap a session draft review notification to jump to that session. Other notifications are not tappable.
  5. Tap the back arrow to return. The bell's badge refreshes when you come back.

Rules and gotchas

  • The red dot on the bell means you have unsent session drafts, not unread messages.
  • The list is held on this device. It is not fetched from the server, so anything that arrived while the app was uninstalled, or on another phone, is not here — and clearing the app's data empties it.
  • There is no mark-as-read, no delete, no swipe action, no pull-to-refresh and no paging. An empty list reads No notifications found; a failure shows the raw error with a retry button.
  • Unsent drafts appear as notification rows of their own, written by the app rather than sent to you.
  • Tapping a draft-review notification opens that session without a class or subject attached, so the lesson picker there is switched off. Reach the session from your timetable instead if you need to change its lesson.
  • If the Home top bar shows a single login icon instead of the bell, permissions failed to load and the only action available is signing out.
