Find and edit questions in Circin Maestro
Browse the question bank by category, search the text, preview the correct answer, and edit the questions you wrote yourself.
Updated
Manage Questions is the browsable question bank: what exists, who wrote it, and which answer is marked correct. You can edit your own questions from here; everyone else's are read-only.
How do I find a question?
- Manage → Curriculum → Manage Questions.
- Two pills sit under the header. The app picks the first Category and loads its questions; tap the pill to choose another, then narrow with Subcategory (its first row is All Subcategories).
- Tap the search icon to turn the title row into a search bar and type words from the question.
- Scroll — the list loads twenty at a time and fetches more as you reach the bottom. An upward arrow appears to jump back to the top.
- Tap a row, or its eye icon, to preview the question with every option and the correct one in green, plus its note and tags.
How do I edit one of my questions?
Rows you wrote carry an Author chip and a pencil icon. Tap the pencil: Edit Question opens with the type, text, options, answer, note, tags and the Is Private switch pre-filled. Change what you need — maths chips are tappable as when writing — and tap Submit for Edit Question Success.
Rules and gotchas
- The pencil only exists on questions you authored. Everyone else's rows offer the preview alone.
- Category and subcategory cannot be changed while editing. Both fields render blank and tapping them does nothing; leaving them alone keeps the original values.
- The image cannot be added or replaced while editing — Upload image is hidden.
- On some older questions the Answer dropdown opens empty and has to be re-picked before Submit goes through.
- Editing a question already used in a live quiz is allowed and warned about nowhere: quizzes reference the question by id, so the change follows through.
- Nothing loads until a category resolves; before that the screen reads Please select category and subcategory to view questions.
- There is no delete and no bulk action anywhere on this screen.
